Your Privacy Choices
1. Overview
California residents, and residents of several other U.S. states, have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. This notice explains how those rights apply to HIT today, and how they will apply if the App's advertising features become active in the future.
2. Current Status: No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
As of this notice's effective date, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, because the App does not yet serve any third-party advertisements. The App reserves visual space for a future ad placement, but that placement is inactive and displays nothing until an advertising network is integrated.
3. If and When Advertising Is Enabled
If we integrate a third-party advertising network in the future, that network may receive device identifiers and usage information in order to select and measure the ads shown to you — which California and similar state laws treat as "sharing" your personal information. Before that happens, we will update this notice to describe the specific network(s) involved, and we will add an in-app control that lets you opt out of that sharing directly from Settings, in addition to the methods below.
4. How to Exercise Your Privacy Choices Today
- Limit ad tracking at the device level: in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track", or disable tracking specifically for HIT if it appears in that list.
- Control notification categories: opt in or out of any notification category from Settings within the App.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your information: email us at [email protected]. We will use your Apple sign-in identifier to verify your request before fulfilling it.
- Delete your account entirely, at any time, from Settings > Delete Account within the App.
We will respond to a verifiable privacy request within 45 days, as required by California law. We may extend this period by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, and will notify you if we do.
5. Non-Discrimination
We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level or quality of service because you exercised any privacy right described in this notice or in our Privacy Policy.
6. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may still require you to verify your own identity directly with us.
7. How to Submit a Request
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request", describing which right you would like to exercise (know, delete, correct, or opt out of sale/sharing) and the email or Apple ID associated with your account, if applicable.
8. Updates to This Notice
We will update this notice as the App's advertising and data-sharing practices change — see Updates for a running log — particularly before any third-party advertising network becomes active.
